In March 2019, AQUAlity was selected by the European Commission to participate in a cluster event organised by the Research Executive Agency (REA) in collaboration with the Fundacio Institut Català de Recerca de l’Aigua (ICRA).
The event took place in Girona (Spain) on 22 October 2019 (more information available at: https://ec.europa.eu/info/horizon-2020-msca-itn-cluster-event-clean-water_en).
By taking part, the AQUAlity consortium showcased its contribution in the field of clean water, got insights in the related policies, benefitted of networking and was informed of further funding opportunities.
Project Coordinator Paola Calza and two AQUAlity ESRs (Iván Matías Sciscenko and Dimitra Papagiannaki) gave an oral presentation (presentations available at the link above).
Last but not least, the Girona event was also an opportunity to give feedback to EU policy-makers on possible policy strategies for raising awareness on clean water and for increasing the skills of young generations in this very field: this resulted in suggestions gathered in a Policy Brief Document (sent to the European Commission in November 2019).
